  • (Atrium Second Level Arch Fills) Arch Fills feature decorative painting around all four sides on the atrium at the second story level in the Old Erie Library.  The base or launch of these arches are 29.5 feet from the floor.  Three arches on each of the four sides of the open atrium provide spaces for two decorative areas per side plus one at each of the four corners for a total of twelve.  The twelve works are situated between the arches in the arcade that faces the open Main Hall.  The decorative painting in each case consists of a simple flora & ribbon motif on a plain field.  Paint is on lightweight convas adhered to plaster with glue.
