  • The two primary elements are affixed to the single large column located in the courthouse lobby. Near  the fourth floor balcony, a ring of plant forms encircle the column; the poplar tulip and iris (state tree and flower) are the main forms.  A ring of bronze vine-like shapes from which seven charms dangle is located on the  third floor level.  The charms depict various symbols of justice: an eagle, the tablets of law, the scales of justice, the wheel of justice, Thoth, a laurel garland, the number 7, and Orpheus' lyre.
