  • "Knoxville Flag" is a powerful symbol representing the Stars and Stripes, carved from limestone, creating a recognizable and highly visible landmark within the open landscape of the Federal Building. The sculpture, rises 12 feet above the plaza floor (6 feet of grade and 6 feet of limestone and concrete base) and measures 10 feet long catches the drama of contrasting light and shadow on its richly tooled and textured surfaces.  A monument to the patriotism of the citizens of Knoxville and of Tennessee.
