  • Harold Balazs, the artist of this wooden wall relief carved from Douglas fir, was born in 1928, in Westlake, Ohio.  He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1948 and received his Bachelors of Fine Art from Washington State University in 1951.  He received numerous awards for his work, as well as many public and private commissions throughout the Pacific Northwest.  His work is also at the Jackson Federal Building in Seattle, Washington.
