  • "Passage" is a work of fiber optics and stone.  The component of Lynds' work for which he is best known is his use of fiber optic technology. By embedding optical fibers in the cast concrete and placing a mechanically programmed light source in the base of the sculpture, light is passed through the optical fibers to the surface of the stone in changing colors and configurations.
