  • Odyssey is a large and colorful fiber relief sculpture where wrapped manila rope and stitched padded areas combine to create the undulating surface of the vibrant sculpture.  The color contributes to the luminosity of the work because Odyssey combines neutral earth tones with hues modulating from yellow, gold and green to red, purple and blue.  According to the artist the work "is designed to move the observer's eye along from vivid color changes to neutral areas of stitched and wrapped fiber, thus depicting a journey or adventure through which one passes...It enhances the environment by engaging the viewer in visual and intellectual participation in an aesthetic journey."
