  • "Your Memory Column", a ceramic sculpture, is comprised of four rectangles on top of each other, placed at an angle and forming a zigzag shape. Each of the rectangles is divided in half to create two squares.  One square is separated into two triangles, while the other square is undivided. The sculpture rests on a base that is a combination of hexagons grouped in a circular pattern.

Swirls of color appear as clouds throughout the work.  In the square division, whirls of cream and brown give the sense of a storm brewing.  Swooshes of white and blue appear in the bottom triangle of the second half of the divided rectangles, whereas black and white swirls are in the top triangle.  Although, the figure is not a fountain, the shape recalls the diagonal direction of falling rain.  The blue and white base also contributes to this symbolism.
