  • Three large-scale, black and white photographs by Clyde Butcher have been installed in the jury assembly room.  Each provides a view of nature that seems to be from another time or place, far removed from the congestion of Orlando.  Yet, each records a location that can be found in the region served by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.  An isolated beach with rain rumpled sand, a path through the woods receding toward an ovoid of light, and a swamp with its still water reflecting the trees and sky all serve to remind us of nature's serenity.
