  • The ten panels in  this series portray the prominent industries and leisure of Louisville, as well the development of mail service in the region. The long narrow friezes depict the historical industries of Louisville. Farmers with their livestock, Coal Mining, Ohio River Traffic and Agriculture.  The two larger panels showing Fox Hunting and Horse Racing, pay homage to Kentucky's passion for horses. The four lunettes over the elevators illustrate various postal delivery methods.
