- Morgan's Raiders was commissioned by the Treasury Relief Art Project. Initially installed in the Old Post Office, the mural was relocated when the Post Office was torn down in 1968. The scene depicts a group of lean, gaunt, and hard riding Southern cavalry men, under the command of John Hunt Morgan (1825-1864), going over the spoils from a recent foray into the North. Morgan was famous for his swift cavalry raids.
