  • The Four Seasons," Laurence Holden's series of mixed media paintings, represents the continual variations in the natural world as well as mathematical principles.  The four paintings illustrate the seasonal sycle, where shifting colors, shapes and lines suggest local flora and weather patterns throughout the year.  The cycle moves from summer's sun-drenched hues, to the crisp colors of autumn, through winter's cool blues, to the lush greens of spring.
