  • Commissioned through the Fine Arts Section of the Work Progress Administration, the painting displays the beauty of a spring landscape in Georgia. Flowering azaleas are framed by overhanging dogwood branches, flowering vines, and ferns.   The work was installed in 1938.  Originally commissioned for the Decatur, Georgia Post Office and is now installed in the R.B. Russell Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse.
