- Installed in a wall niche at the Federal Building in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Buchman's work is a composite piece which visually ties together two large monolithic forms, both mounted on the same pedestal. The concrete cast forms the lightest tone and the backing shape for the sculpture, is textured with a stucco-like pattern. In front of the wall stands a black granite slab with slightly tilted horIzontal lines carved into the stone, the legs of the stone made of unpainted steel.
