On the left an unarmed group - Messenger of Peace - persuading a warrior to lay aside the sword. The treatment is classic, the landscape is similar to that of the Straits of Messina, in the Gulf of Corinth, though representing no actual scene. One man seated at left with a helmet on; one man standing in a flowing white garment, woman to his left standing next to him; another figure with white wings, "angel" holding a garland. In the background is a small round temple with columns all around it. The paintings have an informational sign that was designed by the tenant. The sign is free-standing, on the nearby fireplace.
