Clifford Ross
b. 1952, New York, New YorkArtist Clifford Ross is a modern pioneer in the field of photography and multimedia arts. In his work, he both embraces and transforms the reality and intensity of the natural landscape. In his years of work as a painter before he turned to photography in the mid 1990’s, he developed talents necessary to create this new, radical form of stained glass. Ross, who is based in New York City, earned his bachelor’s degree in Art and Art History from Yale University in 1974. His work is in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, the J. Paul Getty Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
