  • The work is composed of 18-foot vertical, blue steel beams intersected by red metal plates.  According to the sculptor, "Highline" has been designed to give human perspective and color to the plaza.  The architects had called for a strong bold piece of sculpture, contemporary in style and preferably of a material which would contrast in color and texture with the masonry and cast stone visually predominant in the building complex.
