  • Personal interpretation of the American Southwest has been a constant source of inspiration for Howard Post.  Behind a Mountain references a well-known Tucson landmark but shifts the perspective and places emphasis on the Palo Verde and Mesquite trees along the dry bed of a stream.  Post’s use of expressive colors combined with his unique point of view conspires to capture the essence of the rugged landscape.
