Also known as Scandinavia, Denmark is portrayed by a Viking woman. To represent the Norse people. She weighs 200 tons. The female figure of Denmark stands in a classic contrapposto position with the proper right leg slightly bent at the knee. She is dressed in a long voluminous skirt, a chain mail blouse, a long flowing cloak, and lace-up boots. In her proper left hand, she holds a spear, the bottom end of which rests on the base at her proper left side. The entire sculpture is carved from one section of Tennessee" marble" limestone. The alignment between the large carved stone section and the granite base is fairly regular around all sides
