- Holland is symbolized by Admiral Van Trumo, representing a typical Dutch adventurer of the Knickerbocker days. Weighs 200 tons. The male figure of Holland is dressed in 17th century costume with a flowing sash wrapped around his waist. He stands with the proper left leg held slightly ahead of the proper right leg. The proper left foot rests on a coiled robe which is attached to the pillar described below. The figure's head is turned and he gazes towards his proper left. He wears a wide-brimmed hat on his head. In his right hand, he holds either a telescope or a rolled-up map. Behind the figure is a pedestal with rope around its bottom. The proper left hand rests on the top of the pedestal. A copper-alloy sword leans up against the pedestals side. The sculpture is carved from two sections of Tennessee "marble" limestone. The alignment between the large carved stone section and the granite base is fairly regular around all sides
