Collection Highlights

Featured in this web gallery are 20 examples of some well-known artworks in GSA's Fine Arts Collection.

The Fine Arts Collection comprises artworks dating from the 1850s to the present, including approximately 1,000 large-scale murals, sculptures, and other site-specific artworks that are installed permanently in federal buildings nationwide.

The collection also includes more than 23,000 smaller-scale, portable artworks (such as prints and easel paintings) from the New Deal era of the 1930s and early ’40s that are on long-term loan to museums across the United States.
