- The sculpture consists of a connected series of 24 delicately balanced crescent forms interacting together with kinetic movement. Constructed of marine aluminum alloy, the mobile structure sways in changing patterns when touched by a breeze. The artist wished to give animation to the space and to impart movement related to the varied, swaying rhythms of a landscape. The sculpture and its title evoke images of the area, known for its sugar cane fields, Houma tribe dances, and oil rig pumps.
