  • "This male figure has a nude torso, wears pants, and is barefoot.  his right legg is braced, the left is relaxed.  From the knee of the left leg to the thigh of the right are carved symbols of Roosevelt's Four Freedoms:  Religion; Press. Speech, Free Assembly.  His arms are outstretched and he holds a rifle over his shoulders.  Realistic conception but subordination of detail and empahsis on planes."
